I am a huge fan of this blog, as well as the chainrings made by Christchurch.

IT WAS A DIRTY ANKLES KIND OF DAY
…raining on and off, but nice and warm and sunny enough for the rain to dry in between. if you have the fender pictured below, then you know what i mean by dirty ankles. strangly i feel quite in the zone (or zen) when everything is hellish out when i ride. if you saw me ride by i’d probably be one of the few soaked and still smiling in chicago. i like this playlist because it works up to a high cadence at the end, and then with a nice cool down with some bob dylan.
‘Cut and Run’ - Electrelane
‘A Comet Appears’ - The Shins
‘Alpha Beta Gaga’ - Air
‘One Minute to Midnight’ - Justice
‘Stuck Inside of Mobile With… [Alternate Take]’ - Bob Dylan
PS: it was a good day for skids! *yus*

rode to this jam earlier today!
I wonder if I take you home by Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam. 1984. Los Angeles 405 freeway. Back seat. Sony cassette player.

so this is a great example of beautiful bicycle geometry.
-the straight fork, with brazed crown, love the fork the most
-the 17 degree stem, parrallel with the ground
-tight wheelbase: look how close the rear tire is to the seat post, and how close the front tire is to the bottom tube…very tight and compact, which give a helluva difference in acceleration compared to some strectch out ride. although you feel the vibrations and bumps a little more with a compact wheelbase
-the top tube is interesting, following those extreme track bikes where the top tube slants down to the headset. very aggressive! i am more for a straight top tube, but this baby pulls of the slanted top tube well, it is subtle and gives you that street cred hipster flair, if thats your kind of jam.
my beef:
-comfy brooks saddle does offset the minimalism of this bike, but come on, they are comfortable!
-seat post should be chrome, and the chainring too.
-chrome headset too
